Healthy Sweet Chilli Sauce

A healthier refined sugar free sweet chili sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 8-10 Long red chillies halved length ways
  • 4 Cloves of garlic crushed
  • 1 tbsp Ginger peeled and finely grated
  • ¾ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 250ml Rice Syrup
  • ¼ cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Finely cut the chillies, and remove about half of the seeds.
    Place the chillies, garlic, ginger, apple cider vinegar and rice malt syrup into a saucepan. Add around a 1/4 cup of water and simmer on low heat.
    Stir occassionally for around 30mins or until reduced and thickened.
  • Remove from the heat and transfer to a sterilised jar. Set aside to cool.
  • Store in the fridge for a few weeks or more.

Notes

CAUTION; Chillies can burn your skin so please wear gloves when chopping and removing seeds. You can find biodegradable single use gloves or natural rubber gloves to help reduce waste.
Also if you prefer your chilli mild make sure to remove all the seeds and if you like it hot, hot, hot, don't remove any seeds.
